Garden Court Hotel Goes Greek!
Greek weddings have this energy about them that is hard to describe unless you witness it yourself in person. It always amazes me how happy and energetic greek families get during a celebration. It is very contagious! Meet George and Lizelle, yeah they appear to be cool and calm. But once the Photo Booth opened, and the greek music started to play, they knew how to cut loose and have fun! Take a look at these photo's taken by Danny Dong Photography and see for yourself!
Lizelle and George were amazingly fun to work with, we wish them the best of luck in life and everything they do!

Expression Events Featured in DJ Times this month!
I've been reading DJ Times Magazine for about ten years. Their publication is the best DJ mag for information on the newest products, emerging technologies, and for catching up on the latest trends, tunes, and for advice on how to go further in the craft. I always love finding a new issue each month in the mailbox. Never in a million years did I ever think to open up an issue that would have an article featuring me and my company! Wow, how cool is that??!!Picture look familiar? That's the amazing work of my Father in Law, Joe Homsy : ) Check out some of his other great work at www.homsyphotography.com
Check out the online version, or pick up a fresh copy at your local Guitar Center!

Lightscaping
Here are some pre-production pictures of an event we were setting up at Palo Alto's University Club. Our client was looking for something extraordinary, such as patterns on two walls, "fire like" up lighting, and a glowing ceiling. It took careful planning between us, Jessica at The University Club, and our very special clients, to achieve what they had envisioned.

We utilized multiple light fixtures from seven gobo projectors, a dozen multi beam units to wash the ceiling with purple, twenty five up lighting fixtures including wireless LED units. We lit up the walls, ceilings, provided pin spotting for the cake, as well as under lighting for several tables in the lounge area.

In our next blog post, we'll share some amazing photos with the beautiful results!

Old as Dirt!
You're turning 60, you want to throw a party with your closest friends that have been there for you the last 60 years of your life (and make it super fun). What to do???
Dress up like cavemen and act the part all night long! Theme parties are becoming more and more popular with milestone birthdays. It is a great way to get people to not be themselves an extra day of the year (the other is Halloween).
We had the fortunate opportunity to work with an amazing couple in San Jose recently for a birthday party. More specifically, a 60th birthday party. Let me tell you, I've done 60th birthday parties in the past but nothing came close to this one! Guests were invited to dress like cavemen and cave women to signify that the birthday girl was "old as dirt"! Guests at this party truly enjoyed the theme of the party and we're acting the part for most of the night.
While I was DJing and keeping the crazy cave people entertained on the dance floor, Sara kept everyone coming back for more laughs at the photo booth.
If you plan on having a birthday party, and you want to add some spice to it, make it a theme party...you won't regret it! People will have so much fun, have an extra exciting thing to talk about, and take home some funny stories to bring up for years to come until the next party!
